However, did you know that there are many other resources available to students to connect with recruiters for jobs and internships, especially in the tech field?
Increasingly, tech employers are connecting with undergraduate talent through a variety of online resources, in addition to posting open roles on their websites. While these resources often include courses and workshops on important tech skills, they are also frequently used for internship and early-careers recruiting, and are some of the best ways to learn about open roles, connect with recruiters, and apply for internships and full-time jobs.
Our Employer and Alumni Relations team recently attended URx, a conference all about early-careers recruiting, where we were able to chat with university recruiters from companies like OpenAI, Reddit, Netflix, Duolingo, and many more — and get the inside scoop on how they source candidates and make hiring decisions. Recruiters there were clear that they use a variety of resources to source candidates, and it’s important for students to be active on these sites to increase their chances of breaking into the industry — especially in some of the more competitive roles.
