ZS Associates regularly recruits associates and consultants to join their team.  While each role will have a certain level of specialization depending on the industry focus, they follow the application and interview process detailed below.

Apply:

After finding a position, candidates must submit a cover letter, resume, and academic transcript via their online application portal.  Your resume must include your contact details including an address, telephone number, and email.

Successful application documents should demonstrate a candidate’s analytical and quantitative skills. Use specific examples in your resume and cover letter that highlight your work ethic, leadership, project results, community engagement, and language skills.

First Round Interviews

These interviews are usually made up of two sessions– a behavioral interview and a case interview.  You may meet with various members of the team throughout this experience. During the interviews, you should be prepared to talk about your interest in ZS, academic background, how your professional experience relates to consulting, how you interpret data, and make recommendations.

Final Round Interviews

Final-round interviews are a series of sessions held at a nearby ZS office (but this may also happen virtually).  Throughout the process, you’ll connect with team members in structured interviews and less formal interactions.

All applicants should anticipate a behavioral interview in which you’ll be asked questions that draw on your past experience and showcase how those experiences are applicable to the role at ZS. In addition to the behavioral interview, candidates will have to participate in an additional series of interviews based on the role. During all the interviews, the ZS team will be looking for you to demonstrate your unique personality and perspective as well as your interest in the work that they do.

Associate Interviews:

  • Business Scenario Interview:  Testing your skills in analyzing a business situation, synthesizing information, and communicating recommendations.
